Although I'd planned on spending another day in Eureka, when I awoke on Saturday morning I was overwhelmed with
a feeling of H-O-M-E. Three long weeks on the road and I was missing home. I was also missing my cat Carson who
was probably wondering what the hell happened to me. After ten years, I've never been apart from her this long so
I'm hoping she handled it well. So I check out early from my cabin, grab a big cup of java, my smokes and head home.
Six hours and 319 miles later, I arrive home to a very angry cat who refuses to come out from under the sofa for
several hours. I had a great time and definitely recommend solo roadtrips for anyone who just wants to do their own thing sometimes.
