One Log House in Garberville
In case you haven't already guessed, this is a 2100 year-old giant redwood log that`s been hollowed out and furnished. $1 donation is accepted and I made sure to give dirty looks to all the people who dragged their kids inside and then didn't bother to stick a couple bucks inside the box. Friggin' cheapskates.

Legend of Bigfoot store in Garberville
Don't get your hopes up about this one. The only reason to stop is the huge Bigfoot chainsaw-carved statue out front. Mostly, though, burls and chainsaw art were the only offerings. A small Bigfoot section proved to be the same old crap that all the other gift shops offered. Rats. Oh yeah, I did almost get run down by a speeding car when crossing the road. There are pulloffs, but people come zooming around the corner and those of us who stopped truly took our lives in our hands when crossing the highway.

World's Second Largest Abalone Shell: When it used to be the world's largest, this 120 year-old guy had a prime spot at the back of Brown's Sporting Goods in its own display case. However, once another shell beat it by 1/2" a few years back it has disappeared from the store. You can still see a photo of the shell, though. Whoo hoo!
