Cos I got to Vernal so late last night, I grabbed dinner at Arby's and headed to the KOA campground. My cabin sits in the middle of a grassy parking lot next to the highway (just like the one in Bend). There are no trees and no breeze. The Twin Falls/Jerome KOA had a ceiling fan as well as a desk fan supplied inside the cabin. Even with my own fan, it was simply circulating hot air. It was stifling hot in the cabin and within minutes of propping the door open I was inundated with moths, mosquitoes and all others sorts of gross bugs. So I closed the door and prayed that it would eventually cool off. It didn't.

However, Scarlett O'Hara is remembered for proclaiming "Tomorrow is another day!" and by golly, if she can feel that way, so can I! I've got lots of stuff on today's itinerary and I wanna get started early. So after grabbing a quick shower and packing up I'm outta there and on my way.

Dinah the Dinosaur in Vernal, Utah
Dinah the Dinosaur has become the unofficial mascot of Vernal. She began her career holding up a motel sign, but when the motel was demolished she was moved to the city limits and now welcomes visitors. The first two images show her holding up the motel sign. The last photo shows a Dinah souvenir you can purchase in town.
