I was a bit disappointed to see that women are stuck being rodeo queens and barrel racers. I've seen photographs of women from the 1900's riding bulls. Why aren't women allowed to calf rope, bronc and bull ride?

After my trip, I checked it out and turns out there is a womens professional bull-riding association, but they mostly get stuck competing at dinky county fairs. Why is this? It's not like the women would ride against the men. They'd have their own category. Grr....
